Artificial turf is a complete surface system. Product choice, excavation, drainage, compacted base, edge restraint, fitting, seams and infill all need to match how the area will be used.
Drainage and base
Existing soil and water movement determine excavation, separation, aggregate depth and the finished slope below the turf.
Seams and edges
Roll direction, cuts, joins, curves, borders and fastening are planned to reduce visible seams and movement.
Cleaning and heat
Pet waste, leaves, shade, reflected heat and surrounding materials affect maintenance expectations and product suitability.
